While there are no major cities, the area has a population of about 1.5 million and is closely associated with Toyota.

What Seahorses RepresentsThe castle of Tokugawa Ieyasu, the hero of Mikawa, is called Ryūjō. Additionally, it was named after the year of birth of the honorary advisor, who has supported basketball since the club's inception, which falls in the Year of the Dragon.

The parent company, Aisin, is also a prominent company within the Toyota Group and is a prestigious club that has won the championship six times in the old league. However, it has yet to achieve victory in the B League.

   

Notable Japanese (Asian) Players to watch

Yutaro Suda(6-2 1/2, G, Tokai University)

A three-point specialist who joined Mikawa this season. Although he is 32 years old, he might showcase his skills on the international stage as part of the Japanese national team.

   

Notable Foreign (Naturalized) Players to watch

Davante Gardner(6-8, F, Marquette)

A heavy-duty player who came to Japan in 2015 and has a long playing history in the country. His three-point shooting and Euro step moves are a must-see.

   

Head Coach: Ryan Richman

A graduate of the University of Maryland, he has coaching experience with the NBA's Washington Wizards and in the G League. He took over last season and is working to successfully change the culture in Mikawa.
