Aichi Prefecture is home to three B1 League clubs, two of which are based in Nagoya.

Mitsubishi Electric is the founding organization of this longstanding club. Although Mitsubishi Electric is headquartered in Tokyo, the club has long been based in Nagoya.

The club once featured Keisei Tominaga's father as a player.

The team has been strengthening since the 1980s, yet it has still not achieved a championship victory.

Luke Maye(6-8, F, North Carolina)

It’s not uncommon for former NCAA champions to come to Japan, and they are all outstanding players—Maye is no exception.

He came to Japan last season and played for Ibaraki. Now, he’s been signed by Nagoya D.

   

Head Coach: Shawn Dennis

A distinguished coach from Melbourne, he led the Townsville Crocodiles in 2016 and was awarded NBL Coach of the Year.

He has been the head coach of Nagoya D since 2021 and previously held the same position at Shiga from 2017.
